Streaming Services
Where people are watching TV shows and films
There has been a dramatic change in the way people consume entertainment. There has been an uptick in streaming services with a decline in cable subscriptions.
People are drawn to streaming services because it gives them the control to watch TV and films when it is convenient for them at a lower cost.
And now, there is another factor, quarantine. Movie theatres have closed, and drive-in theatres are making a come-back. Some drive-in theatres decided to open early this summer and new ones are popping up all over.
When a diverse group of people from all over the world, were asked on August 5, 2020:
“What is your favorite streaming platform/channel/network/app? Where do you watch?”
These were some of the responses:
Some of the answers were Hulu, Youtube, Netflix, PS4, Pathé Cinema, Tubi, Vudu, Argo. Twitch, Philo, HBO Max, HBO, Crunchyroll, Disney +, Peakcock, Sling, Epix, Showtime, Twitter, Roku, Funimation, Amazon Prime, YouTubeTV, Apple TV, Viaplay.
What is your perspective on the future of streaming? Do you like having options? Do you like that cinema feels more mobile now? Is there more accessibility to content? Do you have trouble navigating multiple platforms?
